What is known as triple superphosphate?
Triple super phosphate is a highly effective chemical fertiliser for crops, shortly called TSP. It is also known as concentrated superphosphate and is being widely used in farming nowadays for getting high yields in crops.
What are the composition of triple superphosphate?
The chemical formula of triple superphosphate fertilizer is Ca(H2PO4)2. H2O.
It contains more than 40 % of Phosphorous. (43-44% P2O5). When it dissolves in water, its phosphorus is negatively charged (-1). Which is easily being absorbed by plant’s root.

Why is it called triple superphosphate and how it is different from Single superphosphate or superphosphate?
The compound triple super phosphate Ca(H2PO4)2 contains a higher percentage of phosphorus compared to SSP(single super phosphate) or Superphosphate. That’s why the mixture with calcium sulfate known as super phosphate of lime is sometimes called triple super phosphate. It is more effective than SSP or super phosphate.

It is being used as directed by spreading on crops, vegetables, and fruit plants or through irrigation systems in liquid forms.
